  • Bright lemon color - daybright
Medium plus aromas of ripe yellow apples and curry with intense dry rock minerality - mild and quite pleasant oxidative/ nutty notes
Palate is rich and broad - bruised apple and white pepper
Medium plus acidity and moderate phenolic bitterness with medium plus (14%) alcohol - can definitely tell its there but not intrusive
    Very long and persistent finish
A wonderfully broad and complex wine - well made
Acid remains despite this containing 40% Palomino
Drinking great now but prob has some years left on it

  • i like this producer a lot, but not a huge fan of this wine. i get the chinon, and the palomino brings good acid, but the oak to me is too strong (even if "neutral"). this is good wine, but there are lots of alternatives that blow me away at this price point.

  • Light gold. Great balance between sharp and rich. Real depth. White fruits, apple, white peach, grapefruit. But also a voluptuous fullness. Great acidity. Long. Interesting and enjoyable wine, very good with seafood and rich sauces.

  • This time this is something different and enforces the opinion I had a bad bottle. Opposite to previous experience, this one is easily fresher, mineral with moderate plus acidity that balances a glyceric and quite bodied palate. Palomino kicks in with the minerality and saline flavors. Although being good I miss a more linear and straight profile.

  • The nose was incredibly fresh with chalky minerality up front, followed by ripe apple, lime zest, crusty bread, and hints of pineapple. On the palate, I found soft, round textures with a bump of zesty acidity on the mid, giving way to sweet cream, ripe stone fruits and a hint of green apple acidity, which buzzed on the palate throughout the finish. Lingering notes of kiwi and lime mingled on the finale, along with a coating of creamy glycerol-like textures.
