The first vintage of this wine, from a 9 hectare plot in the Contrada Samperi, limestone and sand, 100% Grillo, harvested early ("vigna verde"), fermented in stainless steel tanks and aged on the fine lees for six months, 11.5% ABV. At three years of age, this is drinking beautifully. Pale white golden colour with a green tinge; wonderfully fresh and salty nose, complex, apple and green olive, green herbs, grass and citrus, good depth; the palate has crisp acidity and citrus fruit (lime, unripe lemon), tight and linear, intense but light as a feather, mineral core, real tension; slightly reduced finish, good length.

Ultima bottiglia del 2013. Bell'evoluzione, naso paté di olive, in bocca molto fresco forse poco complesso, buona lunghezza.

Vinoblesse Wine Tasting (Ernst Sillem Hoeve, Den Dolder, NL): Like the Lucido 2013, not an obvious wine, with subtle notes of nuts and peach, pure and airy, mineral, balanced and precise.
