Really poor QPR Drinking like an old wine for the tannins but the fruit doesn’t back it up. Lacking the acidity to age I guess. Unsure but really a discordant wine. Dumped half the bottle down the drain because this showed so poorly in a Sunday funday BBQ with $50-125 quaffing bottles in the table that no one wanted it. We opened some Swtichback and Forman instead.

Dark purple in color. On opening the nose was reticent and the wine was a bit tart and weak. After an hour in the decanter this was singing. Flavors of cassis, cherry, and lavender. At the 2 hour mark this wine started to lose some oomph. I would definitely drink this now with a 30 minute splash decant. This has held up better than most 2012's I have drank. Which makes sense coming from mountain fruit. I wish I could have found a few 2013's. I did enjoy this wine and a nice QPR. 92+

In a good place right now! Attractive Ruby color combining perfume aroma, balance with complexity, not overly fruity. Smooth yet grippy tannin with after tastes last for minutes. Enjoyment when trying to stay away from corona!

Aroma and smoothness are the best I memorize from this wine. In a good place now.

Very smooth with deep dark cherry and blackberry fruit. Didn't need too much decanting as fairly ready to go at PnP. Not very complex but delicious.
