PNP. Deep dark magenta color. Chocolate malt, blackberry, dark raspberry, crème fraiche, wild strawberry, and fennel. Smooth, dry palate. Firm tannins on the longish finish.
Shared this with friends and it drank really well with no aeration. It has aged nicely, but perhaps lost a small step (for me). My friends thought it was WOTN.
One hour decant. Very very deep magenta color. Black cherry, plum, pistachio, cocoa, brown sugar, and dill. Dry, chalky/dusty palate. Firm, full tannins on the longish finish.
Fun drinker, but getting moody. Perhaps beginning to fade a bit. This was never quite as good as the ‘16 at the same age (a few years ago).
An excellent QPR as usual. This was full throttle cab yet with enough refinement to not get slutty. There is decent balance for its generous body and flavors.Another fine vintage of Arkenstone NVD.
Four hour decant. Deep dark magenta color. Black cherry, red currant, raspberry, wax paper, maple donut, and subtle coffee and violet on the nose. Dry, satiny palate, with somewhat chewy acidity. Full tannins on the longish finish. This was really good, but I think the ‘16 is better.

Very enjoyable wine. PNP. Full mouth feel of black fruit. Tannins and acidity fully resolved. Not sure where it will go from here.
