Acker BYO 2017 (Tribeca Grille): Ok - something really weird happened to this wine. When it was first poured it seemed really great. Young as anything, but the fruit was poking through and the spice was there and it felt like it would be just great. Then I went back 45 minutes later when someone said they thought it was corked and everything was just off. Totally disjointed. Haven't seen that before where the wine starts kindof ok but as it opens up it falls totally apart. Too bad. Was excited about this one.

Wow! Dark brambly fruit, with hints of tar, bacon, and pepper. The finish continues for ever. Very complex and multi-dimensional, but not over done. Look forward to drinking another one of these in a few years to see how it has developed.

tobacco, cedar, dark rich red in color, in balance and highly concentrated structure well defined, full bodied with complex layers of flavors through a long finish.
