  • My first experience of New York still wine. Well balanced between slight sweetness and fruitiness. A pleasant experience.

    Per www.drfrankwines.com:
After crushing, destemming, pressing and cold temperature settling, the wine was fermented at a low temperature. The fermentation was stopped before dryness to preserve the fruity character of this wine. The wine was racked, blended, filtered on diatomaceous earth, fined, cold stabilized and adjusted for bottling.

Presenting a light golden hue, shows a fruitier less mineral character than the dry Riesling. The bouquet is dominated by ripe fruity aromas of melon, pear and pineapple. The mouthfeel is very pleasant with a good balance between the residual sugar and the acidic backbone typical of Riesling with a long finish. Enjoyable with spicy food or alone.

    Alcohol 12%
    Acid 0.75 g/100 ml

    Free SO2 45 mg/l
    Sugar 4.5%

  • Peach and apricot nose with no petrol. Sweet and juicy, perhaps lacking a bit of balancing acidity for my palate. My 1st experience with Finger Lakes riesling. Overall? OK but better available especially for the price.

  • Clear, light yellow color. Fruity aroma of apple and pineapple. Main impression on tasting is a bit of floral sweetness (but not cloying). Slight hint of lavender on the finish.
