  Covolo's 2002 Napa Cab tasting (Casa Covolo): Night cap of the 2002 napa cab tasting. This was in a really good place, at the peak of its drinking window.

  Has lost some of its power as it has aged. I remember this as extremely sweet and syrupy (in a good way!) and now it has become a little more refined but perhaps a little more dull as well? Still very enjoyable

  Drank as part of a 10 year Dolce vertical. Densest wine in the first flight (compared to 2004 and 2001). Deep and syrupy which made the honey stand out more than some of the others. A bit of smokiness and more of a caramel finish.
