  • Beautiful nose of liquorice, cedar and blackcurrants. There’s a wave of juicy, mouth-coating blackcurrant, cedar, some mint, dark chocolate, bitter herbs, bay leaf, plenty of liquorice, tobacco and notes of toasted coffee beans and vanilla pod. Sweet and savoury at once. Plenty of length on the palate - there’s no mid-palate dip here. The rich fruit is balanced beautifully by a well-pitched line of acidity that has you diving back in for more. Likely the best McLaren Vale Cabernet I’ve had.

  • Drinking like it was made yesterday - fresh as a daisy. On the black fruit spectrum; blackcurrants and some plum. Hints of gum leaf and traces of liquorice. Lovely prevalence of cedar box character, but oak is well in check and there's a superb acid lift on the palate. Thick and juicy tannins and a long finish. Medium to full bodied but not thick. Has a vibrancy about it that lends well to drinking with most foods or on its own. A well made and well balanced wine.
