Decanted for an hour and consumed over the next three hours. Initial impression of enjoyable dark fruit, however the finish was too edgy and I enjoy good tannic grip.

Tasted this at the winery in Yountville. It is bold with berries being predominant and tannins are very evident. It should cellar for a while. The wine looks crimson colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like black currant (cassis) and walnut. The body is full. The wine has medium acidity.

Purple ink-black. Notes of lavender on the nose. Dark cherry, mocha, leather on the palate.

Had this at their tasting room in Yountville. Currant, plum, and hints of vanilla throughout. Nice use of oak, smooth tannis, good finish.
