Wonderful richness and density for its level, just not quite as bright/ fresh as my previous bottle from two years ago. still very enjoyable, and just great for its level.

Rich with overripe lemon, brown spice and flint. Great depth and length. Intense expression and power. Definitely needs to open and warm up a bit to show it's best.

From an average of 60 years of vines in Meursault, and using the gentlest pressure. This is a medium bodied wine with lemon and lime citrus fruits, honey suckle floral tones, wet stones, some flint and salinity. The stony tones seems to develop more in the glass though a fine layer of acidity provides a good balance to the body that is not excessively fat. Approachable young, but should be better with short term cellaring.

Meursault (Southside) 1er Cru vs Village, Mostly Blind (Hughes House - Chicago IL): Single blind in flight. Absolutely sensational Village level wine. Simultaneously rich and lean, this showed the heft of 2012 but with chiseled acidity from the middle forward on its crystalline finish. So impressive now.

Nice lemon, touch of green apple skin and loads of minerals, really fresh texture with lots of persistence
