Rich and ripe apple and baked apple, faintly spiced. Not extrelmely complex, but weighty with an old vine concentration that really impressed for a Village wine.

time has served this well. the oak is still there but better integrated. no avoiding the richness of vintage or style here but it was really a fantastic bottle. corkage, Stissing house

Showing the richness of the vintage, with intense old vine concentration loud and clear. Easily maintains brightness with orchard fruit everywhere, finishing with a kiss of lemon and enough brightening acidity. Not quite as exciting as the 2012 vintage we tasted a few weeks ago, but still an excellent Village wine.

Massively hyped, no question. Smoky, petrolly and reductive initially. Roasted apples and fantastic length on the palate.
