Almost exactly a year since my last bottle and continues to impress. Ripe, red hedge berries with with almost a touch of viscosity. Touch of dry spice and perfect acidity brings harmony along with the suppressed 13.5% alcohol. Elegant compared with many a more power-led robust example. Fine indeed. For drinking over the next year or so.

As per my earlier notes, this 13.5% example exudes elegance in contrast to the dense high-alcohol power often found in Barossa Grenache. Has held up well since my 2017 note but for drinking up over the next couple of years.

As per earlier notes, this Barossa Grenache exudes elegance rather than power in an fine old tawny port sort of way. The core acidity keeps the ripe red fruit flavours in check. Moreish and excellent; a good accompaniment for plain roasts and stronger cheese. For drinking up over the next 3-4 years.

Barossa Valley Tasting (67 Pall Mall): From rootstock from 1889. Lovely nose of tars and roses. Light palate.
