Great qpr on this wine, it’s ready now, fairly light body, with decent Nebbiolo fruit and some development, for around £10 a bottle is just what you need as a mid week drinker with pasta or pizza

Lower Level Nebbiolo Tasting Exercise: 14% the producer is from Nieve in Barbaresco, all domaine fruit. medium light body, dark ruby with a garnet rim. red fruit nose, attractive, ripe fruits in the mouth, nice tangy sour fruit, some fine tannins around the inside of the mouth, but nothing obtrusive, and decent fresh finish, ready now

In fine form, one of the best bottles we've had of this wine, with genuine complexity and rather a peacocks tail as it opens up. Seems like there is fractionally more body to this bottle, such that the tannins are less noticeable.

Attractive and true to type nose, with still healthy cherry fruit, balanced at top end by some florals/parma violets and below by some tar/creosote.
Still in fine shape on the palate with the fruit a little more to the fore. Not super complex, but lovely balance and arguably there is a fraction more tannic grip than earlier bottles.
I'd guessed this might peak at c. 10 years old, but it might even gather interest beyond that. Indeed it may even have closed up a little compared to earlier bottles.

Rather surprisingly a little tight on first night, but opened out beautifully on the 2nd night.
