Smells and tastes mostly like blackberry & cranberry jam being made, bubbling away on the stove. Cherry also. Something meaty and feral there too. Grippy kittens tongue tannins come out after some air time. Quite different to the previous two vintages, both which had me swooning. This one very good but not quite so good as those, almost won me over but needed 4 or 5 hours of air first. Perhaps too young or soon after bottling, maybe revisit in a few months.

Nose of armpit, cola, and cranberry. Smooth, plush palate, with flavours of blackberry, red cherry, juniper, and charcoal.
