Nose of slight petrol note characteristic of Riesling grape, green apple, slate, granite stone.
On the palate, med-full bodied (12 abv), noticeable RS (9.5 g), med perceived acidity (although RS seems to have masked real acidity level). Mid-palate is unfortunately hollow and diluted. Flat and bland are two words springing to mind. 85.

@Babuji w/ KFan, Molly, Jeremy. Pale straw color. Expressive nose of prominent petrol and some lime and lean lemon. On the palate there was some RS (feels about 10-15g). A little unusual for Australian Riesling but well-balanced by high acid. Medium minus body and medium minus alcohol (felt around 11.5%-correct) - this is more similar to a Mosel style kabinett trocken or Feinherb than Australian dry or Alsace (would be drier and higher alcohol). Very nice and went as well as could be expected with Indian food.
In terms of blinds, the only hint of new world character is the cleanness of the wine. It could be German for sure. The quite elevated petrol is maybe a little unusual for a youthful German Riesling without bottle age, but makes a bit more sense in a sunny climate.

7/7/2016 - Michael and Elizabeth Likes this wine:
Pale gold appearance
Classic Riesling nose with super fresh lime aromas and a hint of petrol
Zingy citrus flavours, minerality and good acidity and length. A lovely Riesling

Somms Australia - Riesling Tasting: Apple and pear. Clean palate but it lacks interest and spark. Decent to drink, but no more at this stage.
