Leather and tobacco. And cassis. The wife got raisins and dates; where she got them from, I do not know. I thought it was like eating Edward VIII's opera pump in a smoke-filled drawing room, but in a good way. Perfect for New York Strip and a cigar. Would not age another day.

Retailer tasting (Le Bouchon): The bouquet is still a bit locked with some dark berry fruits and pleasant oaky flavors. Same on the palate. Some sweetness nicely balanced by the acidity, some vanilla and length. Overall a good wine which needs a few years of ageing. Drink starting 2016. 87+ for today.
