Still drinking excellently. This is a big Chard, with pineapple, melon, wet stone, caramel and oak on the nose. Well balanced with lots of fruit, lush creamy butter and spicy oak. Long, rich finish.

Precisely as before. (That's why I like these tasting notes!) The key is to drink it just as it warms, but before it loses its force. Looking forward to visiting the winery in September and acquiring some bottles of more recent vintage.

Very fine Chardonnay. I opened this a bit colder than I would have liked; nonetheless, a vaguely sulphrous nose upon pouring, which generally signals to me a high quality Chardonnay experience in the offing. Light straw color, tiny green undertone, slightly transluscent; again, good signs. Once the wine warmed slightly and the taste came in, crushed stone and citrus fruit, with a slight whiff of tar that carried forward the sulphur nose. Lovely legs. Only downside: After an hour, the taste intensity diminished significantly. A special and serious Chardonnay; worth continued purchases in years to come. (Enjoyed with Donna and Steve and Sherrie, halfway into Chicken Paprikash.)

Murky light yellow in color, it opens with poached pear, buttery oak, minerals and citrus on the nose. Surprisingly, it's not all oak as the murky color suggests, but a delight in your palate. Its concentrated and expansive body glides across you mouth with a rich but not-over-the-top mouthfeel. A joy to drink and pairs well with lobster and crabs.

With dinner of roasted chicken. This stuff just flat rocks -- sorry to see the last one go.
