i ended up opening 375 ml x 2 of this wine because the first bottle performed badly. unfortunately, the second bottle was even worse. strange acidity, very sharp, and sickingly sweet fruit. coming on the heels of a terrific tasting of it less than 2 months ago, i am perplexed.

G6 (Jeff): Our host opened another 375 ml of this since he thought the first was off. This bottle showed even worse than the first. No acidity. Too tart.

G6 (Jeff): From 375ml. Yellow-orange color. Tangerine nose. Tastes of orange, lemon, brown sugar and lime. Tart and cloying. Honeyed finish. Needs more acidity to pull this off.

a delight as it races towards age 10. i've come to really embrace the middle numbered examples which present a lovely balance between the RS/fruit and being too sweet, although it's rare for me to describe a kracher as cloying. i suppose this can keep forever. excellent.

Dinner party w Gus&Jeannie Vidauretta and Rob Barlick.Served w the wonderful Lemon Panna Cotta w peach compote that Ellen made. A perfect accompaniment. Not as profound as Parker and Tanzer would lead one to believe. Seemed to lack the crisp acidity that to my mind other Kracher wines have displayed.
