eye: light ruby, translucent, some bricking around the rim, 3mm fading. nose: very Chambolle, cherry, sous bois, spice. palate: medium weight, with solid underlying material. the rather typical acid profile of a 2004 has granted good ageing potential. 15 Caudalie. this is a very enjoyable quality for this vintage.

Ruby red colour. Nose with notes of smoky barbeque sauce, a little bit of earth, and some herbaceousness. This is intensely green on the palate, and I wouldn't be surprised if someone confused this with a white wine. Quite a lot of acid, but there isn't much fruit to balance it out. Softened tannins. A reasonably good finish, though marred by a hint of rust.

Good and spiced nose. In the mouth tight but lacks depth and has a certain greenness in the finish. Slightly disappointing.

Korken satt som spikret; vinen måtte filtreres gjennom papir. Ikke mye til smak, anonym.
