Strong nose with a peppery berry taste. Long tannins means this needs food but it was perfect with my steak and the fruit and spicy notes meant we drank it very quickly. Long and rich on the palate

This was a big wine. Rich berried nose with a deep dark colour. Full bodied and thickly textured with dark fruit lido rice and mellow pepper flavours. Concentrated and strong with a long aftertaste. Very good match to my venison but need food and big flavours to match it.

Weygandt at Arlequin (Arlequin SF): Dark ruby-purple. Fruity, ripe, and earthy nose. Earthy ripe palate - raisinated blackberry, and tart cherry - millerandage. Elevated alcohol 14.5% and feels it, medium plus body, slight sweetness/raisination on the midpalate, elevated acid, medium tannins (a bit scratchy and bitter). persistent finish with ripe fruit and earth.
Has the character of a slightly overripe Grenache-dominent GSM blend. Pretty good for the style, but a bit hot and bitter for my taste.
$23

Trop. Trop d'amertume, trop d'alcool, tannins trop durs... ce vin m'a agressé. Même au jour 2, même si ça s'est calmé un peu, c'est pas agréable. Peut être se serra t il assagi l'année prochaine.
