  • Ran smack into my long-Covid tastebuds. I suspect this wine is very good, but what I tasted wasn't. Instead, it was just a neon sign with the word "cherry" on it, followed by a tang so hard it made me salivate. Nothing else. Your mileage will vary. Carry on.

  • Still very tasty and excellent Burgundy entry level. Light, juicy, spicy, earthy and smooth. Lovely energy in this one! A bit thin on mid palate and finish, but is's a BR.

  • Similar to my prior note. Lovely ruby red color. Some clear signs of age with clear edges but not bricking. Noticeable legs. Nose is flamboyant and full of fresh wild red fruits — cherry, strawberry — and quite floral with some darker tones (violets). Some subtle spice and secondary scents as well. The palate is still rather tight, with a strong mineral backbone and flavors of cherry and red fruits. Tannins are soft and integrated but there, and acidity high but not overbearing. A refreshing and mineral driven wine with a smooth and medium length finish. Again, incredible quality for the Bourgogne title and in a really nice spot. Wish I had more.

  • Ein echter Lafarge, schlank, saftig und animierend frisch. Jetzt in bestem Trinkalter. Erstaunlich wie gut er sich entwickelt hat. Besitzt bei aller Leichtigkeit durchaus auch Tiefe in der Frucht und Länge. Jeden Cent wert.

  • From memory. Pale, ruby color. Terrific nose full of wild red fruits, strawberry, cherry, and with some secondary floral notes. Distinctive and very "Volnay" with a seductive character. Palate was mineral driven with notes of sour red cherry, spice, and medium to high acidity. Does not have the body and texture of some of the more noteworthy terrior, but fine for what it is. In a really nice spot and a great "bourgogne". Fun to drink with a little bottle age.
