Dark straw in color. Medium bodied with okay legs. Nose is very unique. Oak is very present but we also get butterscotch and vanilla! If you read this and drink it—please tell me if you agree or not. I have never had this before. On the palate, good acidity yet round with an exceptionally long finish for a Chardonnay. Very bright and oaky on the front evolving into a caramel bread pudding on the back without any of the sweetness.
When I first started drinking it, I didn’t think I liked that much. But as it warmed and opened up the complexities of the wine started to unfold. I would categorize this wine as unique with non-typical Chardonnay flavors that you may either love or hate. I decided I loved it and will stop writing now and continue to enjoy on my patio on a beautiful NC evening. We drank with rotisserie chicken on our grill. Because of the high acidity I recommend to drink with food. It can easily cellar for at least a couple more years. Salutè!

A very interesting Chardonnay completely different from the typical butter bomb oak limb wines so typical of Napa/Sonoma. Bright acidity with round but not malolactic driven mouthfeel. Lovely wine in my humble opinion.

Always such a spectacular wine. Still a strong, vibrant wine with great acidity and tropical fruits. Medium to full bodied. Lovely.

14.7% abv. Medium-gold color. Fragrant with lanolin, apple and spiced pear. Similar flavors on the palate. Long finish.
