Darker and richer looking than expected (more of a zin-like experience) in the glass. Dry, low tannin, some berries on the tongue. Did better after about 40 minutes open. Likely to buy again.

Thin, dull, and lifeless. A $22 buy from Costco, but no better than the $7 special at any grocery store. This is the kind of merlot that gives the varietal its bad reputation. That said, there's nothing actually offensive about the wine. It goes down a bit like a glass of grape flavored water.

Fantastic upon opening. No wait needed. Had a little left for a second day tasting... My opinion, finish in one sitting.
