Aged Californians in Wellington (Abbot Street, Ngaio, Wellington, New Zealand): Delicious, well- balanced sparkler that has little to do with the flavory profile of Champagne, but convinces on a broad mouthfeel, frothy texture, and excellent acid balance. This is in no way overbearing, and the age has not dimmed the sense of freshness in this wine.

Golden in color. Nose of lemon curd, brioche, and caramel. Smooth over the palate with and increasing and lingering dryness. Candied lemon and carame flavors.

Lighter yellow in color. Nose of caramel and yeast. Taste of pear, apple, and grapefruit. Light, slightly sweet, and crisp.
