Ruby color and silky across the tongue. Ripe cherry and strawberry fruit, a bit of baking spice, and a nice earthy finish. Good balance (for me) between ripe and restrained.
3/3/2023 Still really enamored with the restraint compared to many RRV Pinots. But the fruit seemed a little muddled and there was clearly some brickishness along the edges, so this was probably past its prime.

this is a very delicate expression of Pinot especially for Sonoma. light ruby red in the glass with a pronounced clear rim. Light strawberry and macerated cherries on the nose this has a delicate structure but is well balanced with a somewhat tart but lively finish. Probably time to drink up if holding.

Somewhat unusual for this label's drinking window to open up so close to vintage release, we were surprised by the deliciousness and balance of this one. Shows medium intensity in its ruby-garnet color, with rich aromas of red fruit and a touch of spice on the nose. Palate has intensity and depth of wild cherry and some tarty strawberry notes, along with a touch of allspice and a snappy acidity that shows great balance. Finish is medium+, and the bottle should improve for at least another 5 years or so. No need to wait, this is drinking great now, with just a bit of decant time.
