Interesting as this showed a darker golden color. Doubtless this should have been drunk long ago, but the bottle eluded us and I noticed and found it...showing a muted nose of minerals and citrus, and on the palate at opening a firm grapefuity nuance that settled down with food and actually opened up with a layer or two of fruit and a tad of sweetness. But it did not hold together long...as toward the end of the evening the overriding tartness came back. At least it wasn't dull and uninteresting.

Light straw color with a rather muted nose of minerals and just a tad of citrus. This may be over the hill as there was not much balance of fruit and acid...and not much substance, I should have finished this off long ago.

Light pale yellow in color with a light citrus nose...the biggest change from when we first tasted this at their tasting room last July, was that(as I remember) there is less sweetness, and more a more dominant citrus quality that had a very strong grapefruit like character. Not bad, just surprising. A light easy and dry finish that will pair well with food.

Good clean fruit but somewhat hollow on the midpalate. This finish was a bit short but overall, this was a nice drink.

My trip to Napa, Part 4: Montelena, Phelps, Darioush, lunch at Tra Vigne, Dinner at Bouchon and a nightcap (Napa Valley, California, USA): Slightly chalky nose, then Lemon Pledge. The palate is sweet and sugary without much acid.
