Tasted blind. Clear, pale yellow lemon with a coppery gold hue. The nose is clean, delicate, with youthful aromas of lemon, peach, white flowers, homey. The palate is dry, but with plenty of ripe fruit. The palate is consistent with the nose with also some ripe apple and a slight phenolic bitterness on the finish. The acidity is medium (+) the alcohol is medium (13.1%). Medium to medium (+) body, intensity and finish. I guessed Old World Veneto Pinot Grigio, which is an interesting juxtaposition. This is a pretty good value at under $18.00 and should be drunk now through 2018.

A: Pale lemon N: Citrus, stone fruit, was late to spot it but honey is here, some bitterness at the back end (apparently a marker for PG) other people are picking up petrol...i don't get that myself. tough one this. I found the nose medium (-) intensity and youthful P: Dry, medium acid for me (medium '+' for the group), medium alcohol , medium (+) body, intensity and medium finish C: No complexity or length for me. Good Quality wine but not to my tastes. I would drink now. Not enough interest or intensity of fruit to benefit from aging past a few years. $20 which is rather decent QPR if you like the style.

Clean, piercing, and showing surprising weight for Pinot Gris, along with appealing texture. Very nice. 89-90.
