This is really good and very interesting. it's reminiscent of good southern burgundy, in the judicious oak and chardonnay character, and body /mouthfeel, but it's got some floral/aromatic lift from the viognier/rousanne . It even has some wet stone minerality. I would've liked a little more acid from the chenin , but it's not flabby. Also everything is understated, and elegant. Nice.

South African Wine + Surf Trip; 5/17/2014-6/1/2014 (Western Cape, South Africa): Potpourri like crazy on the nose! Tons of white flowers, yellow wild flowers, lavender, some saline on top of lemon and green and yellow apples. Creamy body, with lots of melons, apricot and papaya. Notes of hazelnut, honey, hint of white cherry. Crisp, juicy, quite complex, capable of development over the next few years. A blend of 37% Chenin Blanc, 24% Chardonnay, 24% Roussanne and 15% Viognier.

Medium golden color; good nose with complexity and lively acidity It tastes lively with good breadth and depth and lingering after taste. should develop well in the next 3-4 years

Floral, with oak fully integrated. Drinking well but not one to keep much longer, lacking the racy acidity of the wine in youth.

ProWein 2014: Full bodied but precise flavour profile. Orchard fruits, a touch of oak with a creamy, slightly warm finish.
