Decanted 2 hours prior to taking over to HMC's for dinner and it was probably too much air. This was a nice, juicy, smooth perfectly integrated aged red fruited Napa cab at 94-95 in less than an hour, but trailed off quickly by hour 2 in the decanter and took on a very definite aged Bdx feel to it of more aged cherry red fruit and actually turned a tad tart as time wore on over another 2-4 hours. HMC never got to taste/rate it at its peak, IMO. If you have these and want them to drink like Napa, pnp and enjoy them in the first hour as this one drinks much older than a '13 if it gets too much air and turns a little Bdx-ish, too.....94 early, 92 later so averaging a 93.

Black currant, plum, and some black raspberry core fruit. Earth, wet cedar, and Nesquik chocolate powder. notes also emerge. Medium bodied, with a back end that finishes on a slightly bitter, pyrazine note.
Hold for another couple of years and hope the fruit holds up. Try again in 2021+.
