The unsung here of Napa vintages that is 1993 delivers again. The softness of the vintage might have been an issue in try to please Robert Parker but almost 3 decades later with good evolution and patience yielded a very elegant and soft wine that is akin ( we keep repeating ourselves here) to a classic Bordeaux with a dollop of extra ripeness. Soft evolution, good secondary feel, leather, spice and with a decent amount of healthy fruit. A delicious 93 from us and with a infimum 5yrs more in the tank.

Pop and pour, not decanted. Enjoyed towards the conclusion of a long evening at the Denver Wine Geeks reunion dinner at Mel's Bistro. Beginning to head downhill, remaining bottles need to be consumed. Elegant blend, not to be guesses as a cali.
