  • Popped n poured last nite in Copake with the Oz. Fairly generous nose mostly of black fruit, a bit musty with wet soil. Medium to big-bodied, copious amounts of black fruit on the palate, along with some stewed prunes, earth and mushrooms. There's spice, particularly on the back end. Tastes a tad hot, but not complaining. Lovely length demonstrating the wine's tertiary notes. Tannins mostly resolved, and a fair amount of sediment at the bottom of the bottle. I'm not typically a fan of Cali cabs but this was a lovely, tasty treat. Showing wonderfully, particularly for a 20 year old Cali wine. I especially enjoyed this wine's concentration and purity of fruit. Sorry that i have no other bottles.

  • Sadly, our only bottle. This wine is at peak and ready to rumble. No flaws. No sediment. Major rim variation. Beautiful nose of dark florals and fruits. Paired perfectly with with grilled lamb chops. Low tannin and acid. Long finish. Medium alcohol. Ready to drink . Enjoy

  • Decanted and served. Good right away then blossomed after an hour or so. Lovely single-vineyard effort, simple but delicious. Plenty of youthful tanins at 15 years of age. Chocolate-covered cherries over well-integrated backbone.

  • BEAUTIFUL. No flaws. No sediment. Minimal rim variation. Old world, musk, nose. Full of dark red/blue/black fruit. No tannin. Low alcohol. Medium finish. Just spectacular. PKIMHK I disagree.

  • Let it breathe for 4 hours before having it with a steak saltimbocca style. Nice fruit forwardness, firm and cedary. Not really well integrated though. Good, but will probably never be great.
