This last bottle from 2013 remained fruity and very food-friendly. We paired it with a chicken Parmesan dinner. Very much look forward to several of the higher-end bottles we purchased at the winery in 2016.

At the winery with Giulia: Bright red ripe fruits, fresh and fruity, young; dusty herbs, spices, a bit rustic, chalky tannins, a bit light, tight. 10 mo. 500 l tonneau french oak. Basically a youthful Brunello--same grapes.

A week in Tuscany (and Lots of wines); 10/19/2015-10/21/2015 (Tuscany, Italy): Ruby in color. The nose has cherries. Fresh. Not deep. On the palate. Light tannins. This is a lighter bodied, fresh wine. Cherries with a slight anise quality. This makes easy early drinking.
