My first time tasting a Poggio Antico Rosso di Montalcino and I am not impressed. My wine sat in a decanter for one hour and then I poured it into a Pinot glass. This bottle is Bordeaux like. It has aroma's of Tobacco, Tar, and Menthol. Tannin does not appear to be a problem, however, there is nothing exciting about this wine and it is definitely not worth $30 a bottle.

Delicious. Lots of fruit and not as overbearing as some of their brunellos. Perfect everyday drinker.
