My eighth bottle of this and this was among the better of the bottles, but still well past peak and on its way down. Still, this bottle provided some pleasure before drying out with extended air. The tally: -3 still enjoyable but past peak and on their way down -4 still drinkable but almost dead -1 faulty cork (undrinkable) This wine was probably pretty good about 5 years ago for a low-level Bordeaux.

This was in slightly better shape than the previous bottle, which was pretty dead. This was still at the very end of its lifetime, but there was a bit of fruit left. This showed best after about an hour of being opened, showing some fresh aromas and very mature flavors within a tannic frame. If you really like older wines, this provides some pleasure, but new world wine lovers will probably not dig this at all. For me, I'd still rather drink this than some newer vintage low-end Napa Cab. YMMV.

This bottle was pretty much over-the-hill. The nose was nice and had some freshness to it, but the palate was pretty thin and lacking in fruit with no energy. It dried out even more as it got air, leaving just a tannic structure.

Cork looked like it had a very old leak. Indeed, this had turned to vinegar somewhere along the way.

Not the best of the bottles that I have tried thus far, but enjoyable, low-level traditional aged Bordeaux.
