  • Dark berries in a fairly aromatic bouquet with some earthy impressions as well. On the palate dark berries, a lot of acidity and sticky tannin. Good length and a mouth full. Will probably improve with another 5+ years of cellaring. 87 - 88

  • A balanced wine, with very high tannins but soft, high alcohol and good acidity. Not very complex. Black fruit aromas and flavors

  • Dense, rustic Madiran wine, a blend of 85 percent Tannat and 15 percent Cabernet Sauvignon, aged for fourteen months in 225-litre barriques. Very dark black-red in color and a rather shy nose revealing some scents of sour cherry, dried figs and a touch of leather. The full-bodied palate shows lots of stewed red and black fruit, quite resolved tannins, but the wine is missing elegance and depth. Reasonable finish with a little bitterness.
