  • Excellent and a perfect pairing for rack of lamb with some Moroccan spices (sous vide rare and then grilled over high heat for 4-5 minutes, turning often). This lamb had a sweet succulence to it that along with the spice married perfectly with this Pinot.

Elegant style but with a sappy core, stunning purity of Pinot fruit, just starting to see the edges of aged character. The wine isn't particularly complex. It's not about breadth, but about purity and a combination of ethereal fruit and sneaky depth of flavor all very clean and pure.

If I had well-stored bottles, I'd adjust the CT drinking window out more years. Then again, why wait.

I had to do a double take and go to my receipts to confirm that, yes, I did pay $15 USD this year for this during an online "bin sale". Add tax and $2/btl shipping at it's $18+ all-in delivered. 750 ml. Wow. Stunning QPR there! This would have been a solid buy at the regular price of $34.

  • Very nice now, excellent structure and weight; better with additional time in the bottle. I would hold a few more years, but lovely now.

  • Fucking stunning bottle. Lithe, lacy, refined, red fruited gains depth with air. Velvet texture. Beautiful wine I could drink all the time. Easy ringer for Chambolle.

  • Floral nose. Light on the palate and lacking sweetness; not necessarily a recipe for a long stay in the cellar. Drinkable, not memorable. Perhaps held too long.

  • Still a big wine and too young. Complex wine, it has a more vegetal, sous bois character (to its advantage) than the typical Napa pinots. It is a little hotter than I like at 13%, but it has good material. Would keep for at least 5 years and see what happens
