Black currant, blackberry, black plum, black cherry. Smoke, cedar, eucalyptus, and char. Medium bodied and dry. Alcohol medium, acid medium, tannins medium. A touch past prime so drink now.

Revisited, I don't think I reviewed this yet- It got an extra point plus because of the price point. Good mouth feel, but not huge. Still gripping and ripping on a pnp... Firm tannins that clean up and linger. Nice dark fruit (blackberry, plum)and tomato- (I just ate tomatos), acidity, minerality and leather, then tannins is the progression. 7 years young- this family of Grand Marnier production is holding strong. If this was bigger bodied it would hold up to wine five times it's price, as It is it's worth double. With the tannins present and clear edges showing still, conservatively added 2 years to the drink by date.

I was surprised at how good this was. This clearly showed the terroir, unmistakable. Good fruit, good concentration, not oveerly sweet. Excellent value, drinking great. Would have pegged this as much more pricey than it was.

87. Improved with multi-hour decant with nice polished, ripe dark fruit up front, with a rough finish not being smoothed out.
