This was very nice… and I was a little concerned at first. It started quite lemony, tart, almost too much so. I let it get some air, and wow. It really popped, the lemon relaxed, mineral traits crept in, bracing and balancing. This ended up with lovely, lemon pie with crust, loads of mineral traits, and some pretty floral components. Went great with Mrs Duvall's crab cakes!

Really enjoyed this with FM3. Giant blast of bright lemon and strong acidic base. Normally I'd say this style would be a food wine but the lemon flavor was just so delicious it was great all by itself. Strong recommendation for those that enjoy the pointy part of the champagne spear.

Disgorged November 2021. 3.5 grams of dosage, which I believe is a decrease from previous disgorgements. Mostly 2017 base, with about a quarter of 2016. This had a # of positive reactions from the small group we had tasting it. Different palates and preferences, all seemed to engage with what is here. A delicious lemony quality, showing bright and vivid. Orange and apple too. The energy and texture here is spot on. I have dug Absolu in the past and to see a new disgorgement of it show this well is gonna prompt me to go find some more.

Hot Selosse summer '23 (Chicago, IL): Disgorged May 2021, 3.5 g/L dosage. A little thin in depth and concentration on the palate, but overall very nice broad texture, likely due to the oak aging. Very pleasant and easy to drink, with an intense chalkiness that is quite enjoyable too.
