Medium dark reddish garnet in color with ever-so-slight clearing at the edges. Full, forward & aromatic nose of ripe fruit aromas of cherries, boysenberries & plums with overtones of floral notes of roses & orange rind, earthy/dusty, tar, anise, herbs, minerals & a hint of cedar. Full bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of cherries, mulberries & plums, minerals, spices, herbs, iron & a hint of oak in the background. Long lingering finish. Drinks quite well presently with decanting & extended airing (90 minutes) & even at 10 years old, it still has very good potential for further development with additional aging.

D1h. Medium garnet red, yellow tinged, 5, quite dark for a Nebbiolo. Mature spicy bouquet, sweet cask notes, some heat from the alcohol, more dense than most Barolo. Intense palate, high tannin, high alcohol, medium+ acidity, spicy and hefty, in fact somewhat unbalanced. Drink now - 2035. This needs rich food!

A big, meaty wine with pronounced minerality. Leans toward dark fruits, balsamic notes with almond/bees wax on the finish. Tannins are pretty tame with nice acidity. Farily mature so drink up.

Typical Serralunga Barolo. Dark and with spicy mineral notes. A masculine wine but still smooth and to drink now , 10 years old.
