  The first impression I had when tasting this wine was "Wow, this tastes like it should have cost three times as much." Very ripe dark fruits, clean, some complexity, seems to be in balance, appealing tannins... until all this potential is ruined by the hot, stingingly alcoholic finish. With one or two percent less alcohol, it could be a real bargain, a 90+ point wine. Some wines can handle this much alcohol, but this just isn't one of them. Drink now, while the fruit can still compete with the alcohol.
