Deep garnet w/ dark brick edge in color. On the nose, the wine expresses cherries, tobacco, sweet earth and rose water. On the palate, there are cherries, sweet earth and a backnote of black licorice after its had ~2 hours of air time. Tannins are integrated, but grainy and making their presence known--perceived prominently on cheeks, gums and back of tongue. On day two, the experience was much the same and the wine was holding firm. I think this has long-term aging potential, but don't see it developing into something fundamentally different...if you like it today, the tannins will smooth out and the fruit will hold up...but if you don't like it today, you probably won't like it much more in 10 years.

Stewed red fruits, sage, balsamic notes Like a tawny port Significant bricking/browning Is this ageing faster than it should be? Regardless, a very high quality Nebbiolo. A delight to drink

This is good but medium to full body and on the light side for fruit with a little more acidity than tannins and fruit. Dark cherry and only mildly complex without as many tertiary flavors. Admittedly with cheese and sipping and it might show better with food. I don’t see any reason to hold on as the fruit has begun to fade. I like this one but it tasted a little more along the lines of a classic Barolo than what I was expecting from a single vineyard site. Drink up and enjoy it now

Decanted for about an hour and a half. Average Barolo on this night, very little exciting here. Not sure this has the stuffing to improve at all...
