Recently I have opened a bottle with a bad cork, but all other bottles have had good color, mild nose and moderate finish. Great with everyday food. Tannins are almost gone but the wine still has another couple of years before becoming questionable. Pairs well with mild cheeses. The wine has been in temperature and humidity controlled environment and has aged nicely.

This wine is over its peak, but still better than most restaurant table wines. Need to finish all bottles ASAP

Reveals plenty of intense black currant fruit with a hint of chocolate. It will drink well in 2007-2008.

Union des Grand Crus de Bordeaux (2000 Vintage) (Intercontinental Hotel Chicago): If you like coffee this is the wine for you. Open a bottle of this in the morning and your spouse will think that you put the coffee on. A strong burnt coffee nose with dark fruit notes. Medium bodied. Nice value. 87.
