  Its over 30 years since I was in Cahors but this wine reminds me of the typical wine from there and was fresh and sharp.

  I'm grading for the future. Floral nose, licorice. Moderate plus acidity, moderately smooth with gripping tannins. Give it a good decant, like most Cahors, or wait longer.

  Allowed to breath for a couple of hours as it initially smelt musty and then was much fresher. Some, but not a lot of fruit, fairly full bodied.

  i really like this; just minimal effervescence giving a little zip, balanced fruit and acidity, more towards cranberry/tart cherry, savory, very pleasant to quaff, great with a ragu
