A generation ago opening a 1 year old Cahors would have been unthinkable but this one was delightful. It was quite full, exuberantly approachable and juicy at the same time as having a place specific savoury touch, earthiness and firm but well covered tannic backbone. Alas it was the last bottle on the shelf at the store and I have seen no replenishment. Good+.

Domaine visit 5/1/21, brief note. Aged 6 months in cement. Négoce grapes. Purple colour, nice clarity. Very expressive nose, cherry, violet, griottes, punchy and fun. Juicy palate, refreshing, tart red berries, light bodied, nice acidity. Smashable stuff!
