I wasn’t quite as enthused as I’d expected to be with this. It’s a light bodied cherry driven wine with superfine tannins that are well resolved. It’s delicious to drink, but it doesn’t excite the way some of Luke Lambert’s other vintages of this and other wines do. At this price point, my expectations are extremely high, so the X factor ratio for this price isn’t there for me. It is, nevertheless, a very good wine. I’m not sure that age will bring much improvement, but it has a good five years to a decade left in my assessment.

Took time to open up. Focused varietal aromas, but tight, barely a baby. Palate's very closed as well. Needs time. Will age well for at least 10 years.

It was ok, but must admit I was expecting more. Made sense varietally - red fruit, plenty of fine tannins, but just wish I could say more about it...

Barely hits the sides; so shy but the class is evident. Drying tannin late. Surely will blossom?
