Light gold. Nice nose, apples, melon. Palate best when first poured. Minerals, touch of honey. Fruit fades quickly, becoming less smooth, more acidic. Probably best at 3-4 years after vintage.

A very open wine, but that is typical of Fourchaume, especially in medium vintagens like 2013. Sweet fruit like ripe green apples and lime combined with a touch of sea/chalk minerals. Medium to full bodied, very forward, fruity and almost sweet with tones of apples and lime in the mouth as well. Medium acidity, nice length. Drunk with raw oysters, and I would have preferred more cid and mineral version of Chablis. But what the ..., this is very decent wine!
