One hour decant. Very deep, slightly hazy magenta color. Tobacco, date, dark raspberry, bay leaf, cinnamon roll, and subtle dark chocolate. Dry, slightly chalky palate, with vibrant, lingering acidity. Firm, medium intensity tannins on the longish finish.
This is a bottle I bought at a wine shop in Avignon. Very good the second time around. Well-made CdP can age better than Bordeaux for my palate.
PNP. Deep dark brick red color. Cinnamon coffee cake, blackberry, and prune. Smooth, tongue drying palate, with fine chalky lingering acidity. Firm, lower intensity tannins on the longish finish.
This has aged very well. I bought a bottle after having a glass a terrific wine bar/shop in Avignon.

Decent. More restrained than expected. Nose of dark cherry, somewhat lacking in finish

Sweet, cherry jam in the nose, with hints of licorice and toast in the nose, with a forward, silky, blast cherry in the round finish.
