Double blind. Light color with bricking- clearly older. Bouillon, black currant and plum notes. Leather, plum and bouillon on the palate. A bottle well past its prime. (DR)

Fantastic new-worlds: This was superb from the moment that it was popped and poured, so elegant and integrated. Loved the resolved, silky tannins on this. Slightly sweet but cool, restrained fruit from a bygone era. Incredibly well-balanced and very much at its apogee.

Still alive but getting pretty burnt out. Secondary plum and concord grape fruit with tertiary soil, tobacco, and fall leaves beginning to dominate the palate. Still fairly syrupy at the core but thinning out overall. Fine. Take now.

1989-2000 Top Bordeaux with Pizza (Schur House - Riverwoods IL): Single blind 1989-2000 Bordeaux. Clearly out of theme. And well beyond its "drink by" date. Tired and dull.
