Left opened in a bottle with filtered cap Nose: quite fragrant, very nice, some oak, black plum Palate: initial tannic with oaky, dark cherry. after opened up, Cork taste and smell disappear and refreshingly dark chocolate, dark plum with still some tannin

Nose shows smokey notes of nutmeg and graphite over concentrated fruit (cassis). Palate shows powerful fruit (blackcurrant, plum) balanced by strong, sour acidity. Flavour feels a bit closed, but the tannin (firm, focused) feels ready to drink (as long as its paired with rich, heavy food). I think it needs a few more years to reach its peak.

Lot of conflicting opinions on the boards on this one. It's unusual, but not in a bad way. Drinking fine now and no reason to hold for the long term. Give it plenty of air if you can. ps, I bought it for a bargain price, so PQR was excellent.
