Closed nose, with hints of nutty oak and apricot. Palate is firm and medium-bodied, with strong, crisp acidity and some skin tannins. Flavours of lime peel, lime leaf, peach, and grapefruit.

Brilliant & clear with yellow gold hue. Had a slight floral nose with honeysuckle aromas also present. Prominent dried vegetal flavour with medium body and a crispiness to the taste. A short but round overall mouthfeel. A delicious wine that can be drunk by itself for satisfaction.

Wine-Ark Cellar Club April 2016 (Bourke Road, Alexandria): Peach and slight spice and apricot. Pretty nose…hmm, very slight butter…I wonder? In the mouth the wine is juicy but broad, the alcohol is restrained. It's spicy, the fruit s present but more muted on the palate. Hmm. It would be nice to run this against a Michelton Airstrip and something like a Guigal St Joseph. I rather like this.

Well made, excellent value rhone blend. Very different style, lean and refreshing rather than unctuous.
Will still age well.
Drink or hold to 2024
